CLS Seniors Off 2 Clinicals party

The Class of 2010 are off to clinicals at the endo of this week. The CLS Department held the traditional "Off-to-Clinicals" assembly with cake and punch.

Each student talked about where they were going for their clinical experience and gave the upcoming CLS students advice on how to survive.

Aria Bovell and Giselle Ming were the lucky winners of the cars used to decorate the cake.

Soup and Salad bar

On Thursday, February 18th the CLS Faculty and Staff treated the CLS Senior class to a Soup and Salad lunch. Of course more than soup and salad showed up, like yummy chocolate bars, vacutainer cake, corn bread and chili, garlic bread, and drink. Following are some pictures of the event.

The Seniors leave for Clinicals on Friday, February 26th so this was the "last supper" with them.

CLS Graduate presents Departmental Assembly

Karen Reiner introducing 2009 CLS Graduate Christelle Miot. Christelle shared with the Seniors her journey through Andrews University's CLS program.

Christelle is currently working 3rd shift at the laboratory in the recently opened Memorial Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. She had a question and answer period where the students asked many questions regarding what the clinical rotation was like, job interview skills, and what it is like working 3rd shift. Thanks Christelle for your willingness to share your journey with us. By the way - she just passed her ASCP certification exam. Way to go girl....

4th annual waffle breakfast

Fran and Al held their 4th annual waffle breakfast for the CLS Senior students on January 8th.

Two of Al's favorites; bananas with apple cider sauce and strawberries with whipped cream. Canadian flag optional.

At the head of the table is our new Administrative Assistant, Monica Constable. She filled the vacancy after Nadya Lewis moved to Florida.
