Sunday, December 2nd the CLS club and faculty hosted the annual Christmas party. Four different types of soup along with different types of Panera bread were served.


Karen had the opportunity to attend the College of American Pathologists (CAP) exhibits in Chicago, on Monday, October 1st. There she met the founder of CSI. That's right!! Ron Ghafary is the founder and President of Cytometry Specialists Inc. CSI-LABS, founded in 1997, is a state-of-the-art, independent oncology diagnostics laboratory located in Alpharetta, Georgia. They offer cytogenetic analysis, fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH), molecular testing, six-color flow cytometry, and hematopathology services. On Thursday Sept 20th the CLS department held it's annual International Potluck. Actually there are several held during the school year. The Senior class really out did itself this year. There was so much food and such a variety of food that whoever happened to be walking the halways was invited to partake. The empty tables waiting to be filled.
Al was batching that week but still brought the perogies. Sorry they were not homemade this year.

Maryam emailed me today and shared some pictures of the Colorado area and some from various events here at Andrews. She has moved back to San Diego, CA but has job offers from Porter Hospital in Denver and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She will be making a decision soon on which one she takes.

The annual spaghetti dinner was well attended. The featured menu of spaghetti, salad, bread sticks was followed by "create your own brownie sunday" with cookies and brownies supplied by the faculty.
